Transguard Group Reinforces Commitment to Families with Enhanced Maternity and New Adoption/Guardianship Leave Policies
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – In recognition of Global Day of Parents on 1st June, Transguard Group is highlighting its progressive family-first policies, reaffirming its commitment to supporting employees at every stage of parenthood through its award-winning maternity leave policy and newly introduced adoption leave entitlement. As one of the UAE’s leading business solutions providers, Transguard continues to set the benchmark for employee welfare, recognising that strong families are the foundation of a healthy and productive workforce.
Transguard’s maternity leave policy provides up to three months of paid leave for eligible female employees, significantly exceeding UAE Labour Law requirements. All female employees who have completed one year of service are entitled to 85 calendar days of paid maternity leave, with the option to extend their time away through additional unpaid leave. This inclusive policy applies across roles and job functions, reflecting the organisation’s belief that every employee deserves meaningful support during life’s most important moments.
Building on this commitment, Transguard has recently introduced a comprehensive adoption leave policy to support employees welcoming children into their families through legal adoption or permanent guardianship. Available to eligible employees of all genders who have completed their probationary period, the policy provides paid adoption leave based on the age of the child at the time of placement. For children aged two and below, adoption leave aligns with the company’s enhanced maternity leave provisions, while additional paid leave is available for older children, ensuring families receive the time they need to bond and adjust.
“Best-in-class employee welfare remains central to our culture,” said Rabie Atieh, Chief Executive Officer, Transguard Group. “By extending our support beyond maternity to include adoption, we are recognising the many ways families are formed and ensuring our people feel valued, supported and secure, regardless of their personal journey into parenthood.”
Rachael Tutungi, Director – Group Human Resources, added: “Introducing adoption and guardianship leave is a natural extension of our people-first approach. We recognise and support all paths to parenthood and our policies are designed to be inclusive whilst continuing to exceed statutory requirements and promote genuine work-life balance.”
Transguard’s enhanced maternity policy was recognised in 2024 by Expo City Dubai for its positive impact on worker welfare, reinforcing the organisation’s long-standing commitment to responsible business practices and inclusive growth. Together, the maternity and adoption leave policies underscore Transguard’s broader ESG and CSR priorities, placing people at the heart of its operations.
