Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The UAE’s leading business solutions provider, Transguard Group, announced today that its Cash division has been awarded the prestigious Dubai Quality Gold Award from the Department of Economy & Tourism. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Quality Gold Award is the final level of the Dubai Quality Award (DQA) and is reserved for past DQA winners who demonstrate tangible, sustained improvement over their last performance.

“We are honoured to receive this prestigious award. I am proud of our team’s achievements. Everyone has worked tirelessly and I am gratified to take this opportunity to thank them for their effort and always prioritising our clients’ needs,” said Dr. Abdulla Al Hashimi, Chief Executive Officer, Transguard Group.

“I am extremely proud that Transguard Group has won the Dubai Quality Gold Award. Our brilliant team’s hard work has paid off. Being recognised by the Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism for business and organisational excellence highlights the standards we’re setting for business in the region; none of which would be possible without our talented workforce,” says Dr. Greg Ward, Managing Director, Transguard Group.

The Dubai Quality Award, based on the Excellence Model used by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), evaluates nominations on Leadership, Strategy, People, Partnerships & Resources, and Processes, Products & Services, as well as Customer Results, People Results, Society Results, and Business Results. Introduced in 1994, the award covers key sectors including government, financial services, tourism, health, and education among others.

Transguard Group not only scored high in all the award criteria but also secured the highest 7-star rating in the Gold Category. A highlight of its nomination is its training and development programme, which includes Lean Six Sigma training for all its headquarters-based employees and training for site-based staff at its Centre of Excellence. The training facility, which opened in 2017, utilises real-life scenarios to train employees and has carried out over 800,000 hours of training for since then.

“We thank the Department of Economy & Tourism for their recognition. We remain committed to improving all aspects of our business and with a dedicated team and innovative solutions, we’ll continue to deliver unparalleled services to our customers,” concluded Dr. Ward.

The oldest business unit of Transguard Group, Transguard Cash won the Dubai Quality Award (DQA) in 2019, followed by the SKEA Gold award in the same year, and was also honoured with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Awards for Business, Business Innovation and Customer Excellence in 2021.

Transguard Group Shortlisted for Arabia CSR Awards

Transguard Group announced today that it has been shortlisted for the 12th annual Arabia CSR Awards; it is one of just three nominees in the “Large” category. The winners of the awards will be announced during an official ceremony on 2nd October. “Being shortlisted for the Arabia CSR Awards is a testament to the good work of our comprehensive CSR programme and benchmarks our efforts with other companies on a global scale,” said Greg Ward, Managing Director, Transguard Group. “We’re delighted to be shortlisted and recognised for this work.” Known as Dream 2020, Transguard Group’s CSR programme is aimed at reducing waste, preserving the environment and the wellbeing of our people, creating and strengthening sustainable partnerships and having a measurable, positive impact on the community by 2020 and beyond. It is aligned with Transguard’s overall vision and promises that the company will serve the greater good of the community in which it operates in by bringing people and resources together to create value. “An integral part of everything we do, our CSR efforts are woven deep within the way Transguard Group does business,” said Lena ter Laare, Director of Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility. “To be publicly recognised for these efforts is gratifying, but what’s most exciting is that the Arabia CSR award gives us a dynamic platform to showcase the strategic importance of sustainability and welfare initiatives. This is our responsibility as market leaders, and we’re proud to continue setting standards in the region.” Several new initiatives as part of Transguard’s CSR strategy and Dream 2020 initiative have been launched this year, including a water recycling programme that repurposes waste condensate from AC units for daily cleaning and irrigation purposes (such as cleaning hallways, washing cars and green wall irrigation), and the creation of sustainability gardens throughout Transguard’s accommodations, which upcycles plastic bottles as planters for flowers. In addition, Transguard’s CSR activity calendar for its site-based employees regularly exceeds 300 activities each month across all accommodations. “From educational programmes movie nights to national day celebrations and league sports, plus much more in between, our busy recreation calendar gives our employees a chance to connect with their co-workers and participate in hobbies and activities that they enjoy,” said Rania Tayeh, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility. “These activities are just a small portion of the wellbeing benefits we offer our employees. We plan to expand our CSR programme even further in the coming years and I’m enthusiastic about the positive impact Transguard can continue to have on our community.” The Arabia CSR Awards are the most prestigious and recognised sustainability platform in the region; the programme is widely acknowledged for applying the most stringent and comprehensive standards to its recipients, such as the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative and the European Model for Quality Management (EFQM) in its application criteria.

The third major accolade of the year for Transguard, the Dubai Quality Award from the Dubai Department of Economic Development further underscores the company’s position as a market leader and innovator

Extraordinary people achieve extraordinary results: Greg Ward and the dedicated team whose hard work was recognized by the assessors of the Dubai Quality Award celebrate outside of Transguard’s headquarters.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Transguard Group announced today that it has won the Dubai Quality Award (DQA). Presented to Transguard during a ceremony today at Madinat Jumeriah, the Dubai Quality Award honours companies for their outstanding commitment to continuous improvement and business excellence. Transguard Cash Services previously won the award in 2018.

“At Transguard, continuously improving all aspects of our business is at the forefront of our strategy, and our people are the foundation of our success,” said Greg Ward, Managing Director, Transguard Group. “Winning the Dubai Quality Award celebrates our brilliant people who continue to take this business forward. I’m extremely proud that Transguard was recognised by the Dubai Department of Economic Development for business excellence.”

The Dubai Quality Award is the second level of three of the awarding programme, with the next and last level being the DQA Gold.

“Scoring high in all of the DQA criteria is a testament to Transguard Group’s business and operational excellence, including the execution of our strategy and vision; all of which would not be possible without our talented workforce,” Ward commented. “As we continue to improve all aspects of our business further, I have no doubt that our people will be at the forefront of executing this.”

A highlight of Transguard Group’s nomination is its training and development programme, which includes Lean Six Sigma training for all its headquarters-based employees and training for its site-based staff through its Centre of Excellence – a training facility that utilises real-life scenarios to train employees. Opened in 2017, the Centre of Excellence carried out over 800,000 hours of training for its employees in 2018.

“Transguard’s business and operational excellence isn’t possible without this passionate team,” concluded Ward. “I’m extremely proud of the work they’ve done for our organisation and the example they’re helping set for business in Dubai and in the region.”

The Dubai Quality Award is Transguard Group’s third major award for 2019; in February, the company received both the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Innovation Award.

The company’s inspirational and dedicated team deserves the credit for the prestigious awards, says Transguard’s Managing Director

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – After beginning 2019 with nearly AED 3 billion in contracts, Transguard has added two more achievements to its already impressive roster of accomplishments: The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award and the MRM Business Innovation Award. Presented to the company yesterday during a prestigious ceremony at Dubai Opera, the awards represent a well-deserved recognition of Transguard’s game-changing approach to business.

“This is certainly an impressive achievement, but neither one would have been possible without the incredible people who work for Transguard,” said Greg Ward, Transguard’s Managing Director. “The entire team deserves to be celebrated for their passion, dedication and professionalism.”

Awarded by Dubai Chamber to companies that contribute to the sustainable economic development of the UAE and the GCC, the MRM Business Award recognizes Transguard’s industry-leading business practices and ranks them alongside other leading players in the global market.

“While it is true that Transguard’s business strategies, processes and overall performance are of the highest calibre, all of these things are carried out on a daily basis by a dedicated team that is not only talented but also passionate about driving our customers’ success,” Ward commented.

The second accolade, the MRM Business Innovation Award, celebrates Transguard’s revolutionary approach to business practices and its ability to inspire companies on the national, regional and global levels; it also positions Transguard as a benchmark for performance.

“In 2016 we made the decision to roll out Lean Six Sigma training at every level of Transguard,” Ward explained. “Led by our Transformation team, this methodology empowers our staff to make changes that eliminate waste and increase efficiency in their everyday work. To date, we’ve trained 650 employees, with more coming in for training each month.”

Commenting on how Transguard has evolved over the last few years, Ward added: “I cannot say enough about the extraordinary people who work for our company. They truly exemplify Transguard’s Vision and Mission, which is to change the landscape of business support services and the outsourcing environment in the region and to be our customers’ trusted partner in delivering total business support solutions that enable our customers to focus on their core business.”

In addition to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Innovation Award, Transguard’s remarkable list of accolades includes the Dubai Quality Award, which was won by its Cash division in 2018.
